About

Bagabond was founded by Toyah Marshall who lives locally in Cornwall. Although Toyah only started surfing 6 years ago it is now an active part of her life which is why she is so passionate about Bagabond. As a female surfer the choices available from surfing hardware to clothing are limited and the idea behind Bagabond is to create something unique and individual that allows you to bring your personality into your sport.
The original concept of the brand was to create surfboard socks using vintage, end of roll and reclaimed fabrics that were fun yet functional. Each sock is unique and is never repeated as the fabric for each sock is limited due to its origin. One sock may be made from a vintage blanket whilst another may be made up of vintage remnants sourced from all over the UK which is why each sock is truly one of a kind.
Bagabond is however excited to be launching a new range of surfing and beach accessories with a vintage feel. After hearing so many girls complain about how uncomfortable some bikinis were to surf in or how they felt bikinis were often designed with men in mind  because of how ‘skimpy’ they were, Toyah decided to take a modern twist on vintage style bikinis to create a new range of swimwear. In addition to the bikinis Bagabond has also designed beach cover ups to take the surf girl straight from the beach to the bar after a long day’s surf and rashguards for that added protection in the water
